EBRA PRESENTS: Dr. Marieke Brys

Updated: Mar 30, 2023

Join us July 8th at 1:00 pm EST for a special presentation on Chronic Progressive Lymphedema (CPL) from University of Ghent's Dr. Marieke Brys. Everyone is welcome, but you must have a ticket to attend. Donations for Dr. Brys' CPL research is requested

  • The EBRA will be providing a donation on behalf of its Members, so EBRA Member attendance is free.

  • All Non-Member individuals are asked to donate at least $10.

  • Organizations/Associations may donate $150 which will cover their groups' Member-attendance.

All funds raised will be provided to Dr. Brys for the continuation of her CPL research.

The European Brabant Registry of America proudly presents the University of Ghent's Dr. Marieke Brys. Dr. Brys has dedicated years to the study of Chronic Progressive Lymphedema in draft horses. During this special online presentation, Dr. Brys will be sharing her findings thus far and revealing her projected research path in the years ahead.

During a hands-on CPL clinic in Belgium earlier this year, Dr. Brys presented her work and was well received by the Belgian (Brabant) community. Unfortunately for us, it wasn't in English. Thankfully, Dr. Brys has translated her presentation to English and is ready and willing to share it with us on Saturday, July 8th at 1:00 p.m. EST.

For this special online presentation, Dr. Brys will define CPL, discuss CPL symptoms, provide causation theories, present best known prevention and treatment practices, talk about previous CPL research findings, share what her personal research goals are for the future and tell us what that means for CPL treatments, and perhaps a cure, for our beloved horses who are affected by the disease. There will be time for questions and answers at the end too!

Presentation log-in details will be provided upon ticketing. Please contact EBRA President Stacy Pearsall at info@europeanbrabant.com if you have any questions.
